Veterinary Technician

Victoria Westman

Having grown up in a household with at least one cat or dog at any time, my passion for animal welfare developed at an early age. It wasn’t until moving to New York City in 2016 that I decided to pursue a career in animal care. I am currently in the process of becoming a licensed veterinary technician and I couldn’t be more excited to make a difference in the health and well-being of your furry family members.
Veterinary Technician

Guilherme Luz

Coming from the Brazilian countryside and going every weekend to the family ranch near our hometown, my love for animals was naturally established. My brothers and I would name our farm animals and say they were ours. Because of this, my desire to become a veterinarian started to grow. Although I had no veterinary connections, by the end of high school I knew I wanted to go into the field. My best friend and I started university together and after graduating, I worked in the field for about 4 years before coming to New York City. I'm excited to pursue my education here in hopes of becoming a licensed veterinarian in the States.

Anaïs Elkins

Originally from outside of Boston, I have been a lifelong animal lover. I moved to NYC for undergraduate sociolinguistic studies and started a career in the language services industry. Post pandemic I became very involved in dog and cat rescue. I adopted my dog in 2021 and have fostered ever since with Waggytail Rescue. I decided to make a life change and pursue a future in veterinary medicine to serve the homeless animal population through rescue and shelter focused medicine
